Quite sad that the reviews are not of the literature itself but of the author. The resource is available for study not to be ingested as blind acceptance of someones point of view.

I agree with Erik. No one has turned me on to knowing that my life is really about loving and enjoying God; an uncompromising mix of the two is a crucial requirement and not just a luxury. There are some other classics by Piper missing including Spectacular Sins. If you have never been exposed to Piper (and thus indirectly to Edwards), this is a great place to start.

A must have dictionary for the scholar and anyone willing to do deep word studies. If you need something more brief, I do suggest "Mini Kettel's" - the abridged version of this book. I turn to this dictionary most than any other. If your looking for a solid NT Greek Dictionary - don't go any further!
