Sprinkle does an excellent job of using biblical exegesis to craft a paradigm-shifting argument for how Christians should think politically in this century. As a pastor, I like the thorough work he does to exegete, while also writing plainly enough for me to recommend this book to others. Especially given the political tensions found in churches today. This is a topic I am asked about frequently, and now I have a great recommended resource to equip thoughtful Christians.

A very well written book with important content. A worthy read for anyone married, anyone who wants to be married, or who gives counsel to couples.

Very helpful and insightful. Does an excellent job of making clear the historical/theological setting for 1 Peter, and connects it well to the present day. The only downside is that his handling of contemporary application is based on an outdated perspective. Which makes sense. The book was published in the late 1990s, and a lot has changed since then. But still very helpful, and sometimes helpful to see how things have changed around cultures perspective and treatment of Christianity over the last 30 years.

Very well written and incredibly researched. Worth reading if you are looking for excellent contemporary scholarship on the topic of Justification.
