- Most current Logos users like myself that have multiple devices and can access their books already. So this is to bring in new customers that have only a window's device? There is a basic Logos app for windows (it's on my Windows Surface RT) that just reads books in my library. I would suggest that the amount of work to match what the IOS and Android functionality is great. I am not bidding on this as I know I won't use it except to read a book on my Surface which is already possible. I could pledge $5 or $10 as an "offering" :)
- Bruce- the basic windows app is no longer supported or available. This universal app would be touch optimized and would work on ALL windows devices with Windows 8.0, 8.1 or 10, including Surface RT, Surface Pro, low cost Windows tablets, Windows phones, laptops, 2 in 1s, desktops, etc., etc.
- I don't believe this is correct. I'm assuming here that they are talking of using the new "universal app" api set and not merely "metro". if that's the case then Surface RT is out of the question (it's dead anyhow) and would only be supported in Windows 10. Which is likely okay since Windows 7 and above are getting free updates for one year to Windows 10.
- Yes, the Surface RT stays mostly off and beside my bed. I have not clicked on the Logos app there in a long time. I turn it on to check email sometimes, and that's about it. I access Logos mostly via Win7 and my home or work desktop computer. I'll check the surface tonight and see if that app still works. I work as a Web tester for all browsers and desktop OS's tablets and phones. Windows phone is still the smallest percentage of users and hence the test coverage is lower. Surprising how many IE10 users are out there!
- I don't review products to much - maybe it's because I am a SQA FE Web tester and it's work for me. Version 60.b or 6.0.2.0042 :) is a typical .0 release with lots of updates. The application is so wide spread that when I experienced the same bugs we all have I was still overwhelmed with the changes - all to the better. I love the home page (HP) and the options to include on it is so much better than v5. I use both a laptop and a MAC Air. I also have a desktop computer at home that I don't get to too often so I don't use v6 on there. I purchased the "Feature Cross-grade" because I had a Gold package from why back in v3 and the upgrade price was good because I had many of the books already. Still some of the resources are unlocked because I did not buy the gold package (DSS for one). That plus the bumps at launch - especially on the Mac give this a 4 out of 5 starts. Best Bible software out there!
- Say, when/if this book is developed, will you have a version with the old_old english as well? i.e. on page 5 (the first sample page) the words "folution of a phyfical problem" show instead "solution of a physical problem". Thanks.
