- First: everyone realizes that Logos releases the feature set for free later right? I've never paid to upgrade and always have the latest edition, minus the resources which I don't care about. Just sit tight. Wait for the free version to be released (usually a few months after the paid ones come out).
- We all realize that the nature of consumer production is that there are new consumers every year (new people aging and needing new materials). As such, logos releases a new version yearly for those NEW customers. Think of it like Mac releasing a new iPhone every year. you're not required to upgrade. The engine is free to download, those who want the extra books in the new version can pay. It's not a bad practice, they're not greedy, they're keeping up with tech trends by upgrading the software yearly, which I am happy about.
- Can I download the new Logos 7 engine without the new resources? I am relatively satisfied with my current resources; but I was under the impression that you had to purchase the new Logos 7 package to get the Logos 7 engine.
- you can download either the Starter feature set or the Full Feature set without purchasing a library. Hope this helps!
