    Today's Message Outline & Discussion Questions! I. PAUL’S GREETING TO THE SAINTS IN ACHAIA (1:1-2) II. GOD FEELS OUR PAIN AND COMFORTS THOSE THAT SUFFER (1:3-7) III. SUFFERING TEACHES US TO RELY ON GOD (1:8-11) APPLICATION 1. God has a PURPOSE for your suffering 2. God wants to MEET YOU in your suffering DISCUSSION QUESTIONS 1. How did Paul show the Corinthians that even though he was an Apostle, he was not immune to suffering? What were the lessons Paul shared from his own suffering in vv. 3-11? 2. How do we practically go about experiencing comfort from God when we are suffering? Share of a time God revealed his Mercy & Comfort to you. How did you finally arrive at that place? 3. How do we help others experience God’s comfort? Share of a time you were able to help someone experience the comfort you received from the Father. 4. Not everyone experiences the same amount of suffering, but we will all experience at least some kind of suffering. Why do some people suffer more than others? Why does God allow suffering in your life? What is the hope you have when facing suffering of any kind?

          Join us for an Uptown Gig Harbor church wide worship night at Peninsula Christian Fellowship on Wednesday evening September 14th. We’ll be joining other churches from around the Uptown area to Celebrate Jesus as one family of God. There will be dinner provided at 6pm, followed by a worship service at 7pm…where we will praise God together through music, a brief message, and celebrating lives given over to Jesus through baptism!
