Dr. Pentecost carefully employs all of the contextual elements within the letter to provide a clear, well-reasoned discussion of how the writer's arguments were structured to both re-assure and encourage his audience to remain faithful to the promises of God. In my estimation it is one of the most balanced and thorough exegetical studies on Hebrews I have been able to find.

Comprehensive treatment of this very complicated but often glossed over approach to Bible study and teaching. The material included has definitely improved my own approach to study and teaching. I wish this book had more detailed examples of how the various methods are applied and misapplied to specific verses. I also wish this book had a Bible verse index.
