- Looking forward to reading the book. God made a covenant with the house of Israel. The house of Israel was the remnant of believing Jews alive on Pentecost. For the first 10 years there was only Jews in the church. Acts 10 you see the first Gentile convert, Cornelius. God will not deal with "fleshly" Israel now or in the future. His people, those that have obeyed the gospel (2Thes1:7,8) are His people and are the "Israel of God." For those who want to discuss this you can email me; cjemeyson@satx.rr.com May the Lord bless us as we serve HIm.
- Thomas did a very good job on the Didache. I recommend it to all searching to see what the first century believers believed. The assembly (called church today) was quite different in the first century than what we have today. May we return to the pattern of the first century and the way Christ set the assembly up.
- I agree with John Watts on the pricing. Here we have a product and we have to pay a huge price to learn how to use it? If Mr Proctor is an outside "authorized" contractor and requires high dollars for his work then hire someone within Logos to make DVD's for us ignorant people. I know you have a bunch of good learned people within Logos that would jump at the chance. I've had Logos since the beginning and only know a little about how to use the features. I stumble around with the software and sometimes make a mess. So what do I end up doing, I just use the basis. Will this make me want to "upgrade to Logos 6 with a bunch of new features?" I don't think so.
- I'm afraid that I have to agree, when I buy a product of any sort, I expect logical instructions to be part of the deal and come with the product. When I bought the Nelson's Electronic Bible Reference Library, there was a handbook with it that I could read whilst at the keyboard, stroke for stroke, but having seen some of Mr. Procter's videos, I have come to realise that he doesn't speak the same language as me and if I could understand what he says, it's still no good as I can't find a way to reference it whilst at the keyboard, 'stroke for stroke'. Even if I could, I am not prepared to pay extra for what I personally consider should be part of the package, I have spent a not-so-small fortune on these products over the years and this seems a bit of a cheek! Logos tells me that it does just so many wonderful things but they're a complete mystery to me and thus not available. Logos is very good at making resources available for free but I'm getting fed up with this aspect.
