- The author makes great play of the fact that there is a difference between Exegesis attempting to understand what the author of a given passage is tryng to say and Eisegesis Reading your own meaning into a given passage. But by taking the Evangelical Christian View that the Bible is the inerrant word of God is only one way of interpreting the Bible and is surely Guilty of Eisegesis. He should admit this and make it clear that his Exegesis is only one of many possible ways.
