- Looking forward to reading this book. The Hebrew Scriptures establish an economic framework that begins by laying down parameters for equality. All were to have land under their care. That source of wealth was to be redistributed regularly to protect from generational poverty and generational wealth becoming Israel's reality. Where we see that principle come into practice is actually in Acts 4, as the disciples begin sharing their belonging to meet the needs of all. A Levite sells a field (they weren't supposed to have been included in the land grants) and brings its proceeds before the disciples. The economic teachings of the Mosaic Code are crafted with a view toward equality, equity, and the full participation of all in Yahweh's land of blessing.
