I found the meaning of the markings (abbreviations) on another site! Here they are: [APO] = apostrophe [CHI] = chiasmus [DOU] = doublet [EUP] = euphemism [HEN] = hendiadys [HYP] = hyperbole [IDM] = idiom [IRO] = irony [LIT] = litotes [MET] = metaphor [MTY] = metonymy [PRS] = personification [RHQ] = rhetorical question [SIM] = simile [SYM] = symbol [SAR] = sarcasm [SYN] = synecdoche [TRI] = triple

Thank you, Cindy. I was just looking for this information. Odd that there isn't an Introduction page(s) for this Bible that includes that information as well as an explanation of how this particular translation is intended to be used.

I was also going to ask what the various markings in most verses mean. For example, this verse: “You saved/restored me when I was dying [MTY]. I was nearly dead, but you caused me to get well again.” (Psalm 30:3) What does MTY mean? There are a great number of different ones like that which mean nothing to us, but cause us to want to at least know what the letters stand for. Are they for a translators name, or for a specific way it's translated, or something else all together?

It's great, BUT it's exactly the same as his Study Bible! There's not any difference. As I already had his study Bible, I feel like I got taken in getting his Commentary and wasted my money that could have been better spent.
