- The Good News Translation is my preferred version of the Bible, but I noticed something odd about this specific edition of the Good News bible in Ruth chapter 2: The "grain" that Ruth is gleaning is repeatedly called "corn" in this edition. All of the print editions of the Good News bible and also a different electronic edition (in a different Bible app) all say "grain" and not "corn". Makes me wonder which edition this really is? Not a big deal I suppose, but it makes me wonder what else is not quite right about this GNT edition... Maybe this is an English version that's not the "American" English I'm more familiar with, perhaps?
