- Jordan Sjodin, thanks. Using it, I am able to create a specific smart media (for example, for Songs) and only change the font. Unfortunately, I need to specify a background image, so I cannot make this general for most backgrounds. I had to upload a black image to do that, but that restricts it to only black. I tried to trick it with a transparent PNG, but that didn't work :) It would be nice if the background was optional so it is more general for any background. Or just a general option in the settings for default font. Although in general, to be honest, I consider it more a workaround/hack. For the title/credits: Right, I just tried it out and it seems to work. Is it possible that this is only per client and not cloud-wide, though? Still, I argue that this is not a default setting, it can be unintentionally overwritten by someone by performing another action/task.
- Right, so you want consistent text styling, but you want to change the background images/videos on your songs? By design, Proclaim Media is both a background and textfields. Hence why you are probably seeing your fields change when you attempt to change the background. We intend to add a button to the browser to "Apply as background". Then you could do as you did, and make piece of media with the text how you like and a black background. Set it as default for songs. Then you can browse for the background you want and apply just the background. That will be coming soon! For the title/credits, I just looked and for some reason it is a per user preference. So still synced with the internet, but each member has their own. Not exactly sure why, I'll bring it up with the team. So if you make sure you sign in as yourself at church, when you add new songs they should have the same settings as before
- Thanks for your reply. It would be great if those settings are per-team rather than per-user. As I'll explain in more detail below, every Sunday someone else is responsible and will bring their own computer. "Right, so you want consistent text styling, but you want to change the background images/videos on your songs?" Exactly. Maybe I should explain the use case we have. The biggest reason for us for Proclaim is the collaborative feature. We just started a church plant and have a very small core group, so we try to keep it simple (we are all doing this in our free time) For each Sunday it is someone else's responsibility for preparing the presentation. However, the person doing music will put the songs in themselves. This all happens during the week at home. We set up a template based on the video tutorial that describes how to do it. However, if someone adds a new item (song, content etc.) there is no guarantee for a specific styling (unless the background is decided as well as described earlier). Settings are also dependent on what happened before that (e.g., title/credits). Most people are not super tech-savvy (thankfully Proclaim is pretty simple to use :)) so it would be more of a burden to explain additional steps or things they have to do or look out for. Hope my explanations are clear. Another feature request would be to have template slides automatically be renamed when they are reused or the template presentation is duplicated :)
