Follow- Playing audio fails for me. Sometimes a want to play a YouTube, so I use 4K Video Downloader, that seems to typically work. I download in 720p, to an mp4 format, drag it to my Proclaim service, then click on it to play. No problem. Sometimes I don't want the video, only the audio. So I take the MP4 into Camtasia, separate the audio from the video, Export >Export Audio Only. Now I have an mp3 or m4a or wav. Now the failing begins I try dragging the file to Proclaim, it doesn't appear to work. I Add Item > Content; then in the service on the speaker by the Content title I click and import audio. I apparently imports, but I can never get anything to play. What am I doing wrong? My work around is in Camtasia delete the video, then tell Camtasia to Export to MP4, it has black video, so it sort of works. That file I can easily drag into Proclaim. I would be grateful for any direction.
- I don't necessarily condone using audio or video this way... However, you may find it easier/simpler to download your audio directly in 4k Video Downloader. There is a combo box after pasting your youtube link where you can select audio, and it will only download the audio. Choose mp3. See screenshot. Add the audio to the slide via the speaker icon, as you have been trying to do. I tend to use the "import" option for all videos/images/audio without any issue. Feel free to take screenshots/recordings of what your process is. Sometimes the program is working properly, but it's just not responding how you expect - and screenshots can help us point you down the right path...
- If I follow you correctly, it SOUNDS like you've followed the correct process.... When just using audio files by themselves I usually create a black content screen, then attach the audio to it using the blue speaker icon to the right of the content name in the left panel. I think that's what you are doing? try this... click the blue speaker icon next to the right of the item name in the left panel... (I clicked the "build my life" in the screenshot below). See what it says there. Mine has the red triangle because the file is no longer available on this machine (i record our practices and use it to review our slides then delete it). It's possible that the start automatically isn't checked or that maybe you didn't upload the file for all computers (I only upload those practice files to my local computer). Just something to check
Hello All; I have made the decision to retire from my tech ministry at Mt Lassen Community Church. It has been a difficult decision, but something that I felt I needed to do. I have offered to consult on a limited basis, but part of this decision is due to the increased hours that I have to work at my day job. I was working 7 day weeks just to keep up. They may not continue with Proclaim so this may be the last I interact here at the Proclaim forum. Thank you all!- Your help as a fellow user has been immense. Thanks, Steven. We will miss you.
- Your input in our lives was greater than you van can ever imagine
- Thank you for what you have done for the Lord!
🎉 Control Proclaim from the Web! 🎉
We've rewritten Proclaim Remote from the ground up so you can now run it right from your browser. No app install required! And it's not a stripped-down version: every feature you already rely on in the native Remote app comes along for the ride!
- Control your presentation
- Create On-Screen Annotations
- Show a Quick Screen
- View the Order of Service
- Change display settings
- Follow a presentation
Why it matters
- Go anywhere: control Proclaim from any computer with a browser. No download needed and not restricted to mobile devices. You can use your laptop from the pulpit or any computer you already have at church.
- All your favorite features: nothing lost in the move to the web.
- Faster to get started: jump in with a link instead of an install.
Try it out
Give the web version a spin and let us know what you think!

We will also be updating the Android and iOS apps in the coming weeks.
- Hispanic Ministry are you referring to the OSB quick screen? Where you can type in a value on the phone? Yes, that is a little bit of a limitation today, that we hope to improve.
- Jordan Sjodin Yes sir. That's what I'm referring to. I don't really care though, I don't plan on using that on my phone either way. But anyways, I love the new app. It looks so good. I appreciate all the updates you guys keep doing to this software.

I think I remember it not being an app limitation as much as a server limitation, but it would be nice to have animations and videos work eventually. Remote must use the same delivery as the digital sign feed. One thing I've noticed with the remote program, if you skip forward to the service section and then back to pre-service, the timing gets goofed up. The warm-up will not start on schedule, etc. So if you are practicing songs for example pre pre-service, you better restart the app from scratch instead of just clicking on a slide in the pre-service and letting it continue. Also, one other little thing, to synch up with changes seems to require getting out and back in too. Using the browser version, checking over notes I noticed an error. Fixed it in proclaim, synched, refreshed the page, nada. Advance, go back, no change. It didn't seem anything short of re-starting would incorporate that edit. (No live presentation active, just reviewing the presentation off-line) All in all, that web "viewer" is the bomb. Nice job. Keep them coming!
- How often is the Bible Trivia updated? Been using it a while and switch between the three types but don't want to overuse it.
- the Bible Trivia data set has not been updated in a while, although it is quite large. Each type shares the same underlying data, just changes the theme used to present it
- Thank you! I will pull it for now and reintroduce after a bit.
Noticing a difference between Mac and Windows. The 'Team' pulldown at the top shows Team Members on Mac, but not on Windows. Kinda handy to see who's been working on any particular presentation.- Turns out Team Member permissions (Admin, Moderator, Member) affects this. On my Mac I'm logged in (admin); on production Windows computer, a 'member' is logged in. I changed user to 'moderator' and that allows me to see who's worked on a presentation.

Seems like a "member" user could find who's-worked-on-presentation useful. Just omit the member management. A "member" already has a create-new-team option that they can't do.- oh, that is a good find! Yes, perhaps we just hid that whole section, instead of just the add and manage rows. I will take a look
- We are having issues where one of my Worship Team adds the songs and updates presentations via her home laptop. Everything looks synced, but then when she gets to the church, nothing is actually there. Any ideas?
- We had a similar experience with syncing in the last couple weeks. Work done at home didn't sync consistently. When we created a new presentation in Proclaim it sync'd but when we added to the existing presentation for the week that already had other content it didn't. We ended up copying the slides from a new to the existing to get it to work.
- Nothing she is creating at home is syncing with the computer at the church. They are on the same presentation group. It has been working for 2-3 months and then in the last 2 weeks, nothing is syncing. It shows that she has been online when I look at the church computer, but doesn’t sync in the new presentations.
- We've had a similar issue for two weeks. We usually start with duplicating previous week's presentation and make needed edits. For the last two weeks, it doesn't look like the work done on the office computer syncs to the audio booth computer. Instead, a second presentation with the same date and time have been created which does have the updated edits. For the Sunday operator who doesn't do the editing, he doesn't know which is the correct presentation. Why has it started duplicating the presentation...one which doesn't have the edits and a second presentation which does contain the edits? Does not appear to be syncing correctly. We spent 1/2 hour a week ago trying to figure out why the syncing was working and what happened to our edits. That's when we discovered the second presentation. It did the same thing this week.
We've recently had an issue with create or modifying MIDI notes in the Lighting/MIDI signals. I can change velocity and channel, but as soon as I select a note, Proclaim pauses for about 2 seconds. Then a spinner that doesn't spin shows up for less than a second then Proclaim crashes and disappears. Has anyone else seen this?- Thanks Chris Roybal (Logos), I sent the logs a moment ago.
- Darius Irvins 4.20.0.0127 has just shipped for Windows to fix the crash when changing the MIDI note. Please be sure to update your Proclaim to get that fix!
- Thanks! Just in time. I've got a whole bunch of new signals to set up.
Customise Smart Media does not appear to be working. I start with an uploaded background video. In Media Browser I select the item from Group Upload, select Customise Smart Media, and choose Song. I make the changes I want, select Save, change the Title, and Create new. Back in Media Browser, the original video has been renamed to the new title, and there is no new song template. I have waited over an hour for any sync to occur. I have tried on Mac and Windows, same result, all with up to date versions of Proclaim and OS.- Oh lovely. I just tested this out and was able to reproduce the same issue you were seeing! Could you instead try to start with Media -> Create Smart Media -> select Song -> change the background from there to the motion background and continue your workflow - that should work as a workaround. And then for our dev team we'll slot in time to investigate and fix. Thanks for the report!
- We are about to head to Student Camp. Can we prepare Proclaim presentations and use them without the internet
- Yes, as long as they're pre-loaded on the computer you'll be fine. As a backup, I'd also probably export each of the presentations and put them on a flash drive (File > Backup Presentation) - that way you'll have confidence that you can restore a presentation if anything was to go awry (File > Restore Presentation)

I follow the same procedure as Steve is recommending when running Proclaim at our Men's Retreat, which is off the grid.- Great!
