Follow- We are having issues where one of my Worship Team adds the songs and updates presentations via her home laptop. Everything looks synced, but then when she gets to the church, nothing is actually there. Any ideas?
- Is it possible you have a different presentation group on the church computer?? When you say nothing is there, do you mean the presentation for that date is not available? or you open the presentation and nothing has carried over? I sometimes don't get everything synced from home, like if I add motions, but my songs and sermon slides always sync...
We've recently had an issue with create or modifying MIDI notes in the Lighting/MIDI signals. I can change velocity and channel, but as soon as I select a note, Proclaim pauses for about 2 seconds. Then a spinner that doesn't spin shows up for less than a second then Proclaim crashes and disappears. Has anyone else seen this?
Customise Smart Media does not appear to be working. I start with an uploaded background video. In Media Browser I select the item from Group Upload, select Customise Smart Media, and choose Song. I make the changes I want, select Save, change the Title, and Create new. Back in Media Browser, the original video has been renamed to the new title, and there is no new song template. I have waited over an hour for any sync to occur. I have tried on Mac and Windows, same result, all with up to date versions of Proclaim and OS.- Oh lovely. I just tested this out and was able to reproduce the same issue you were seeing! Could you instead try to start with Media -> Create Smart Media -> select Song -> change the background from there to the motion background and continue your workflow - that should work as a workaround. And then for our dev team we'll slot in time to investigate and fix. Thanks for the report!
- We are about to head to Student Camp. Can we prepare Proclaim presentations and use them without the internet
- Yes, as long as they're pre-loaded on the computer you'll be fine. As a backup, I'd also probably export each of the presentations and put them on a flash drive (File > Backup Presentation) - that way you'll have confidence that you can restore a presentation if anything was to go awry (File > Restore Presentation)

I follow the same procedure as Steve is recommending when running Proclaim at our Men's Retreat, which is off the grid.- Great!
- Anyone having issues with presentations not showing in the open menu on some computers? I have had this happen twice within the last month. The presentation is there and it is accessible on our computer in the church santuary and some of our computers, but then some of our other computers the presentation is missing. We can see it online in the faithlife website. We have tried restarting, logging out/in, uninstall and reinstall and still doesn't show. it shows me all of our other ones, just not the newest one and then we can add a new one and it shows fine, but we will still be missing the other one even weeks later. Any ideas or anyone else experienced this. We've been using Proclaim for last 5 years and never had this happen before this month and its happened twice.
- I actually have had this issue once before. Although it was a long while ago. I love Proclaim but with all the issues/bugs and the price increase... its getting more difficult for my small church to justify spending the yearly amount. We even cut the Pro Content cause we just can't afford it anymore. I may be looking into other software 😔
- Thanks for the report Chris. We did have an outage on Friday that led to failed sync. The problem was identified and fixed in a couple hours, and was unrelated to the previous outage. We continue to look at stability and take steps to ensure people always have access to their presentations. Check out our status page for more information. https://status.faithlife.com/
- I updated to the latest version of Proclaim, but now I can't import 'any' PowerPoint presentations as images. I'm away and preparing the service remotely, so I don't have access to the church PC and can't save PowerPoint to the PC and add it by transferring control. I need this import as images to work. Can it be fixed please? Thanks
- You may call Proclaim technical support at 888–634–2038.
- Hi John Duffy - I've just tried this on Proclaim 4.20.0.0126 and PowerPoint import worked fine for me on Windows. If you haven't resolved things with technical support it would be useful to look at Proclaim logs after trying to do an import.
- Thanks Graham. I've sorted tomorrow's service on my laptop already, and I'm home now. I'll check it again for next week. I'm tech savvy and have tried lots of permutations to get it to work, and to import jpg images, but the same thing happened repeatedly, despite updating to the latest version. I don't have time to ring tech support this week, or look up log files. I'm back home now and working on my PC, I'll see if that works properly in due course - I've never had that problem on my PC before. I'll ring tech support if I'm in stuck again, and hope that they're open when I need them. Thanks
- We experienced an issue with Youtube we've never had before. I use my cellphone to monitor the livestream while sitting at the video console during service - and I noticed twice during the sermon the livestream stopped. However, if I went back into the channel on my phone, it still showed as Live still - and I re-accessed the video feed. I wasn't the only one who experienced the issue - one of our members was at a nearby retirement home where we show our service - and he found the stream ceased twice as well. Everything looked fine on our side - we never showed as disconnected. However, when I went to our Youtube channel AFTER the service - I found our stream was saved, not as one video as normal, but as four separate videos of varying length. The entire service is there - just broken into 4 'segments' Any thoughts on why this may have happened? Thanks Jim
- I doubt this is a Proclaim issue, what do you use to/how do you stream to Youtube?
- That sounds like your broadcasting program and internet having issues.
- Does anybody else have any issues with Proclaim not showing animations like fade in text or images on powerpoint presentations? We tested it before service, works perfectly, then when service started it just stopped doing animation. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.
- I import power points into my Proclaim every week. I do not use the animations in Power Point. However, when my pastor wants to use powerpoint slides during his sermon, I import them and turn control over to power point. Any animations he may have built into power point are then usable during the sermon. Also to simplify matters, I give him a remote control as he is more familiar and practiced with his sermon and slides.
- I've yet to have a successful import of powerpoint to proclaim. I just open powerpoint and use it.
- We’re sorry for the issues syncing Proclaim on Sunday. You can view a timeline of the incident here: https://status.faithlife.com/incidents/0nzd027vswdf What happened? Improvements to Proclaim Sync had been rolling out over the last few weeks, starting on July 1st, and successfully served traffic through the prior weekend and Wednesday. On July 6th, we made the cut-over fully to the new system and provided a fallback in case of issues. We successfully served traffic through our Wednesday peak and things looked fine coming into Sunday. On Sunday, around 6:28 AM Pacific time, Proclaim Sync was overloaded and not able to respond. This resulted in long syncs or the red sync icon in Proclaim. By 6:43 AM, we implemented the fallback and traffic was being served again. Unfortunately, the large backlog of requests now overwhelmed other parts of our system, causing the recovery to take longer than anticipated. By 7:45 AM, Proclaim Sync was back to acceptable performance levels. What are we doing to prevent this from happening again? We have scheduled maintenance to improve our fallback recovery time. We have also fine-tuned the updates to Proclaim Sync and will continue to serve traffic from both the old system and the new, until we are confident the new system works correctly. We apologize to those affected during this window and for the impact it had on your staff, volunteers, and congregation. Note: Proclaim should not have been crashing during this time. Your presentations are downloaded to each computer and should have been fully accessible. If you did experience crashing, please ensure your Proclaim is up-to-date and submit an issue via the Help menu. This will send your logs to our CS team so we can investigate what happened in your individual cases.
