  • Hey there, first time Proclaim user. I downloaded Proclaim and am trying to get set up, but I cannot find a way to join my church's existing church group. It just keeps prompting me to create an entirely new church group. Is it possible to join my church's Proclaim group right at the start? Or do I need to create a Trial Church Group to play around with first?
    1. Hi , thanks for the question. To join your church's current Proclaim group, you'll need to have someone send you an invite to the Presentation team.
    2. Got it! Thank you for the quick reply!!
  • For a Proclaim Presentation Team, where are the permissions levels (e.g. – Follower, Member, Moderator, Admin) described? I could not find them in the documentation.
    1. Go to 'Team' in Proclaim's Tool bar and click on the dropdown arrow. Select 'Manage Teams' and you should get something like this... Note the bit in Blue at the top.

We use Proclaim and OBS and church's FB account to livestream to FB. We also record the message and post it to YouTube. We want to livestream the message to a smart TV in another part of the church. How do we do that since we can't use FB? Thank you for any help!
    1. We send our service to a TV in the lobby using a Chromecast, . This may, or may not, work for you depending on your network. It requires an unused monitor that is connected to the computer with OBS and works like this: Right click on the OBS output and choose Full Screen Projector Preview>and your unused monitor. Open a web browser something like Brave or Chrome and click the settings button. On Chrome Cast is visible, but in the Brave browser it is under Tools. Click that. The click Sources in the popup and choose cast screen. Next click the Chromecast that you want to cast to and another popup will popup with the different screens that you have connected. Make sure that share system audio is on. Then click share. This will mute the audio to your soundboard, but you can merely unmute that. There is some latency, but since it is in a different part of your facility, you should be good to go. This has the advantage of being wireless, you won't have to run cables.
    2. We use Video Ninja, https://vdo.ninja/, with a Vivaldi, https://vivaldi.com/, browser on the OBS end to distribute the video feed internally to screens powered by a Chromebook. OBS is running on a Mac M1, Chrome was consuming a noticeable amount of system resources relative to other browsers so we switch to Vivaldi for Video Ninja and are happy with the results.
  • Does the Proclaim package come with Logos, or is using it an additional cost?
    1. Proclaim and Logos are separate programs. Logos in a very basic form is free. What one pays for with Logos is the extra resources (books) or facilities (features). One reason to install Logos is so that if one purchases extra translations of the bible in Logos (usually < $10) then those translations can be used in Proclaim. The main problem is that once you start using Logos you find that the effectiveness of your bible study and research is so enhanced that you thing (rightly) that a few more resources would make a big difference. So the accurate answer to your question is no Proclaim doesn't come with Logos and no there is no additional cost to use Logos. However only start using Logos if you have sufficient self control.
    2. "However only start using Logos if you have sufficient self control." LOL .
  • I had a strange one today.... Using a countdown video preservice, on-air, countdown was fine on 2 projectors and Proclaim app screen. The video that was being sent to my "ATEM" virtual screen (lower thirds, etc.) and thus to my campus screens was a completely different video. The video showing up on the feed to the ATEM was not playing anywhere. Befuddled in SoCal
    1. Proclaim takes forever (10+ minutes) to load, update, and close on my Mac. Any ideas? Thanks
      1. Please run an update from proclaim.logos.com/download and choose the correct installer for your Mac but call 800-875-6467 if you have any further issues.
      2. Thank you.
    2. How do I add Background Audio to a video clip? I've added a video clip and want a background audio file to play during it. I click on the blur circle with arrow to the right of the clip and choose background USE BACKGROUND AUDIO, but I cannot find where to add a background audio file to this single item. Am I missing something here or is it not possible to add a background audio file to be played during a single video items in the service?
      1. Hi , try adding the video to a Content service item, then you can change the audio. I believe that the devs at Proclaim assume that a video will already have audio attached to it.
      2. Following on from Steven, Scott, I try to alway attach videos to 'Content' items, usually as backgrounds. I would prefer that the 'Video' item were done away with and all video controls moved to the 'Content' item.
      3. That's a great idea, . I would add to that the ability to add a video as a foreground item AND allowing Windows users to have the ability to use a different video player instead of Windows Media Player, so that we can insert a video that has transparency into the foreground . . . Are ya'll listening ?
    3. Hello. I work for a church and we use proclaim for the tv's around campus. My question is why do the keep going to black screen? I believe they run for a few hours then undoubtedly they all result in a black screen. Any ideas of what I could be doing wrong?
      1. I have had the same issues with television monitors going to sleep. When I first set up the system around 1.5 years ago, they all worked fine and never cut off. Now, they cut off and I need to restart the Firestick and then they work fine. However, they cut off sometime during the week when I am not around to see what is going on. I am using an LG 49UJ6300 television and (2) Panasonic TH-42PH12U sets. For about 2 months they all began to cut off the firestick, but the television was still on. For the last 2 weeks, only the LG set goes blank. The set never turns off, only the firestick goes to blank. Has anything changed with the Firestick software or with Proclaim using the Firestick software? Any suggestions would be appreciated.
      2. Joseph B ... we have LG TVs used as Digital Signs ... there is a way to keep them from going to sleep. I have to look for it ...
      3. Joseph B (I don't know Jesse if Toshiba has something similar) ... but for LG TVs ... at least the ones we have ... you can turn off the SCREEN SAVER mode (fireworks) by doing the following ... 1) Exit any apps ... like WebOS for running Digital Sign Feed 2) Press the Quick Access button three times in short succession (on my remote it is the mute button) 3) The Service Menu (not the Settings menu) should pop up in the top right corner of the screen 4) Scroll down to the Screen Saver option and turn it OFF (from green to gray)
    4. I am looking for a while to make it so that, when the pastor is going through his sermon (which was sent from logos), that on the live stream slide, whenever we move from one slide to the next, it will only show that live stream slide for 10 seconds, then go away. Right now, I have one person running two computers (Proclaim and OBS) as well as sound and I’m trying to automate things as much as possible in Proclaim so all they have to do is simply move through the service slides. Any ideas on how to do this?
      1. I'm champing at the bit to try the scene switcher, , I want to see if I can replace obs-midi-mg. The problem is that I'm redesigning the church's website and working a day job . . .
      2. Based on everything that I’m using it for, there is no reason why you should not be able to.
      3. I'm sure, the only thing I lack is time 😃
    5. Hi all - where are files like backgrounds, photos used in slideshows, etc. stored? My Proclaim program is really slow and I am wondering if I need to delete backgrounds I have customized but not longer use. Thanks!
      1. you can find some here: https://media.faithlife.com/ and toggle on/off what you're looking for.
      2. Hi , I don't think that the old files are slowing Proclaim down. They are stored in the cloud, the only files that are resident on your presentation computer are those that the current the presentation is using. What part of Proclaim is running slowly? Perhaps the people in this forum can help.
