- Well, I guess the author has kicked the hornets' nest. I, for one, intend to buy this book. I used to believe in dispensationalism. I taught it. But as my hermeneutic grew, so did my inability to find dispensationalism in the scriptures alone. But that's me. I do not begrudge the believers of this teaching, but I do take offense at those brethren that use hateful language in against those of us that don't believe in this teaching. I wonder about the lack of the fruit.
- I own a LOT of original language resources that I have purchased throughout the years. I am very adverse to purchasing Platinum because there are a number of resources in that package that I will never use. So, what I would like to know is, will you provide a list of what resources are being used in Platinum so that I can purchase those individually as I see determine to be useful? Very interested in this. Thanks!
- I thought there were a lot of materials I wouldn't use in Platinum also, but then when I priced the ones I would use it would be more than if I upgraded. I look at it as the rest is just thrown in for free. I also thought I would never use some of them - I was wrong - I can't count the number of times many of those have come into use during word studies and other studies aside from the Mobile Ed courses I am working through. I can't attest to these 2 courses, but I can say, from the 6 I have in my library, you don't HAVE to have the Platinum - it's recommended. Each Unit has segments. At the end of the segments there often is Suggested reading material to read. From what I understand, Platinum covers these materials. Some segments will have See Also material - these are often extra resources you may or may not own and usually aren't in the Platinum package. Usually they cover the same material in the suggested reading, but go deeper. Also some Segments have Guides & Tools where they suggest a exegetical, topic, or passage guide study. But notice - it is suggested reading, see also reading, and suggested guides studies. Not required, but I honestly am glad I upgraded to Platinum as I enjoy the courses more now that I did. I have it on payment plan. Also, once the courses are released there is usually a group formed on Faithlife.com. If you join the group they have a reading list available under the Document tab in that group. You can choose which of the extra materials you want to purchase. I'm not sure if this helps at all, but just drawing off my own experience with the product. I love the courses I own. Wish I could afford them all.
- Thanks Terri! I have looked at the Platinum package. I have compared all costs. It's just not for me at this time. As it is, I don't use half of what I already own :). I really do appreciate the time you took to respond though, and it was very helpful. I will be looking at the faithlife groups for the information. Great tip.
