- This is a great resource, allowing the student to 1) read, 2) listen to ( and choose modern, erasmian, or reconstructed koine pronunciations), and 3) write the Greek alphabet. However, there are some serious drawbacks: a) the program tests the student on writing, but the "accuracy" meter is misleading. It would probably be better to allow the student to evaluate his own accuracy than to give false accuracy readings. b) it is limited only to the alphabet, and does not show the pronunciation of diphthongs. As anyone who has learned Greek knows, the diphthongs are very important to know how to read Greek, and end up almost being separate letters. Because of these drawbacks, I would rate this pretty as an incomplete, and therefore significantly overpriced, resource.
