I met with Miles Stanford (1914-1999) and his ministry shortly after being "born anew" by the Risen Christ on 10/9/1969. Miles became my early spiritual mentor and a surrogate father. We had a close friendship for thirty years. We didn't always fully agree (who does?), but we retained mutual respect for each other.
