Uneven content throughout. Some present a 'concise commentary', that is nothing more than a grouping of chapters with content or thematic summary. Some present textual criticism or higher criticism and use content to illustrate their point (Thessalonians volume in particular). If you like critical scholarship this series might benefit you. I don't classify the series as a Study Guide, let alone a Commentary.
