Glenn Crouch's review of this book pretty much says it all. I would only add that chapter 7 on repentance is a superlatively, refreshing perspective. I plan to read more from this author.

Outstanding book. I used it for a men's book discussion group. Please, Logos, would you rework it as a Research Edition, if not for us, to honor J.I. Packer? Just too many wrong or missing scripture links. Almost better to just have the paper copy and your bible at hand. If you did rework it; I'd buy it again.

I'm very thankful to have found this book. The consumer mindset of many in church today, demands leadership feeds them with what they want instead of what they need. It's no wonder churches don't make a difference in culture anymore. If you are in church leadership, this book should be in your library.

So glad I found this book. A great story by the author and a door opener to responding appropriately in love to our brothers and sisters in Christ afflicted with the one illness where, as stated in the book, "nobody sends a casserole".
