Twenty-five years ago I was returning home from a conference that John Phillips had been a guest speaker. I had had first met Dr. Phillips when he taught at Moody Bible College and I owned all the books he had written. Dr. Phillips was setting alone at the airport so I joined him. I felt then, as I do now, he was the greatest analytical commentator I had ever read. I couldn't understand why he only had a couple of commentaries in electronic format. As we were talking I ask him why he didn't make his works available to in electronic format. Dr. Phillip explained he that he didn't feel that his work would be secure in electronic format. He then told me that he wrote all his commentaries in long hand. I realized at that moment I was setting next to the last of a breed of writer in a changing world that was transitioning into a into computer technology. The truth be told I owe these "old timers' more than I can put into words. They were and are a breed in themselves that today millennial generations doesn't understand. He was a classical write long after the classical writers were in Heaven with Jesus. He combined elegance and content with brevity in a way that even the classical writers had not been able to do. Those men taught me how to walk with God, because they were men of God who had learned to walk with God. Buy these commentaries and you will be blessed and you will bless your church.

I have been waiting about a year now since Logos first announced that these commentaries would be available. I see that they are now under contract.....I sure hope that means they will be ready in the very near future. I am so anxious to get them in digital format. I have used them in print form for a long time, they are old friends....hopefully now I will be able to utilize them in a more effective way.
