Observations from my devotions today: “And they come to Jesus, and see him that was possessed with the devil, and had the legion, sitting, and clothed, and in his right mind: and they were afraid.” (Mark 5:15, KJV) Some folks are not drawn to Jesus when they see His Great Power… some folks want to leave or want Him to leave. So where, yes, if Jesus is in the house it may draw a crowd, but not everyone wants to be in that kind of crowd. Some folks are rather unnerved when they are faced with a religion that is real not just surface or cultural. Some folks leave good churches because like these folks, they are very uncomfortable with the implications of following someone with that kind of authority. Some folks want to continue in the illusion that they possess autonomy.
