This book is a collection of Bible verses with no explanation to how Calvinist are pushing their doctrine into the verse. They'll explain their doctrine then for the next couple of pages just quote scripture with no explanation of its connection, then repeat four more times. If you make it past that, you get to a long collection of books that talk about Calvinism and that's another laundry list of books to read. This book is a high schoolers attempt at defending something they know nothing about outside a quick internet search. The only perk of this book is the catalog of other books more profitable to read than this.

A very good commentary, I ordered this commentary from the high recommendations from pastors I have spoken too, John Phillips does more than just explain a verse or group of verses but also shares application of how this verse has been applied to the past and how certain religions and denominations have skewed it to fit their religion.
