Mr
- As a lay person, I'm about half way working my way through this series and it's changing the landscape of my Bible: In my mind's eye I used to look out and feel that I had a good idea of how the scenery of Scripture fitted together as redemption's plan unfolded. Now the focus is sharpened on the detail of each valley and, rather than blurring together as a single range, the contours of different mountains contrast such that they become a collection of individuals. The warp of Bible text with which I'd felt so familiar has becomes much richer as I pick out the weft of a theme, such as Christ's exaltation of which I'd scarcely been aware of its presence; Bible books, such as Isaiah, have been transformed from a collection of well-known but unconnected passages to an integrated whole. It's five stars from me.
