- I want to give some clarity to what is going on with these volumes. Holman Reference had the NAC series of commentaries that they are near completion with, that are based on and use the NIV. Recently B&H publishing has moved to transition to a new series to follow the previous and that is what is reflected here. These volumes are in both series, and as I understand it, as the NAC is updated with the last few volumes, those volumes will be available both in the NAC and in the CSC. This does not mean the CSC series will not contain new content, as Patrick Schreiner has just released a commentary on Acts in the CSC series, which is not in the NAC series. So if you don't have either understand that the NAC is an older series primarily from the 1990's, but with volumes spanning to today, and the CSC contains a slight overlap with some of the newer NAC volumes, but will continue with original content as it keeps going, from newer/younger authors like Patrick Schreiner. As a rule I am a fan of this series for what it is, and unabashedly give it 5 stars. It is quality content, easily read, and applicable. While not the first commentary series I would recommend someone buy, if you are a baptist then this set is essential for your library.
