Last month in Ephesians 3:17-18, we saw the importance of being rooted and grounded in our faith and love, so we can comprehend with all believers in Christ what their breadth and length and height and depth are. As we move into verse 19, we could not have planned it any better. Two weeks ago we celebrated the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. The greatest demonstration and provision of love ever shown.

A church that praises God, preaches the word, sings Christ exalting songs, edifies and equips the body to serve Christ is one that people should be eager to join. We are pleased to celebrate membership today.

Persistent Prayer, Prudent Behavior, Precise Speech Persistent Prayer is never to be taken lightly – this is a serious exhortation to put ourselves often and always into the presence of Almighty God.

esus said, “…I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly.” John 10:10 In response to this, “A word filled life is a worth while life.” Dr. John Barnett in his book Discipline Yourself for Godlines said, “A Word filled life is the only way to not waste your life.”(page 1) The focus of these statements is to direct our thoughts to the fact that if we want to live a life that is not wasted but worthwhile, we can only find it in knowing and obeying God’s Word. How we spend our time and the decisions we make will be in line with God’s guidelines in His Word.

Now in verse 18, Paul prays for them that they would “be able to comprehend with all the Saints what is the breath and length and height and depth.” The big question is “What?” do they need to comprehend and to what extent?
