Why is this world such a mess? And why doesn't God do anything about it? Those are the questions Jesus addresses in the parable we look at today. Jesus teaches us important lessons about patience and trusting God's plan by assuring us that God will sort it all out in the end.

There are so many people who always want to tell you newer, better ways to do things. But so often, these newer, better ways aren't actually better at all, and they aren't as simple as they seem. Thankfully, your spiritual life is simple. There's really no secret to it. Your spiritual life is planted by the Word, it's nourished by the Word, and its fruits come from the Word.

This week we had Pastor Don Patterson with us to share a message based on Matthew 11:25-30. In this reading, we're encouraged to find rest in Jesus, knowing that he is yoked with us and pulls for us.

This week we continued our Back to Basics series with a look at Matthew 10:34-42. In this section, Jesus is setting his disciples' expectations. He's showing them that they can expect both success and suffering in their work as his representatives. But he's also showing them that he needs to be the number one priority in their lives. How can he demand so much from us? Because he himself has given his all for us.
