On Monday, January 23, 2023, Mark G. Meyer, a beloved father and grandfather, passed away. He was 75 years old. Mark was born in Aurora on December 3, 1947 to Marvin G. and Elaine (Upright) Meyer.
Mark served as a medic in the United States Air Force. He later graduated from Southern Illinois University with a major in forestry. Mark worked for the Kane County Circuit Clerk’s office for over 30 years. He also served as a past commander of the Batavia, IL VFW.
Mark was predeceased by his parents, Marvin and Elaine, and his wife, Wendy (DeWolf) Meyer. He is survived by his brothers, Steve (Linda) Meyer, Stan (Marty) Meyer, Russ (Lori) Meyer, and his former spouse, Julie Meyer. As well as his three children, Valerie Meyer, Michael (Beth) Meyer, and Matthew (Andrea) Meyer. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Halen Jordan, Aiden Meyer, Ethan Meyer, and Max Meyer.
Mark had many friends and extended family and will be sorely missed by all.
Services will be held on May 6, 2023, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Batavia, from 9am-11am with interment to follow. A celebration of his life will follow at the Batavia, IL VFW from 1pm - 5pm.
