• How do you interpret Hosea 11:1? In context It looks like Hosea is talking about Israel the nation, and the Exodus. But yet Matthew 2:15 says Hosea was referring to Jesus, a meaning that looks to be totally unrelated to what the author meant. This does not look like a different application of the verse but a totally different meaning than what the author originally meant.
