I'm very happy with Pitre's new book! He's doing great work evaluating the various positions that have arisen in the quest for the historical Jesus challenging Jesus' self-understanding and claim to be divine. I must admit that, while reading the footnotes of his book, I've been astonished to see how some of his interlocutors seem to have been very superficial in their understanding of the texts under consideration. Brant's clear analysis shatters many of those suppositions and restores to us a Jesus who knows who he is.

I don't have the Logos version, but this text was foundational for later studies in theology.

A great resource to supplement devotional reading. It would be nice to also have the Old Testament available in Verbum.
