- I have not read this book,but Johnson is not an Orthodox Christian by any measure. If you are looking for a different interpretation of Romans 1--this may be a good resource for you. In "Homosexuality and the Church: Two Views" Commonweal, June 15, 2007. Johnson says, "I think it important to state clearly that we do, in fact, reject the straightforward commands of Scripture, and appeal instead to another authority when we declare that same-sex unions can be holy and good. - Jared, you make an excellent point...perhaps it's time to clarify to the masses what Conservative actually means. As G.K. Chesterton has so well stated, "tolerance is the virtue of a man without convictions."
- Agreed. There are so many times I consider Logos resources and wished there were more biographical information on the author to make more informed purchases of lessor known writers. In seminary, I followed prof's not so much the topics. That being said, it can be valuable to know the counter-perspective to strengthen our own conservative orthodox values.
