I have seven year old twins that are in the second grade. They are learning to love reading God's word with this translation because not only can they read it but understand the word chosen in the text. It is a perfect version for kids to start out with until they can fluently read the "bigger" words. It make the reading easier so they can comprehend what they are reading, not just struggle with reading it. It allows for them to learn at an early age that God speaks to them through his word - directly to them - not just through another person reading it to them or teaching them about it. What a great opportunity to form a foundation that will last a lifetime!
