Absolutely love this commentary set. I use it often in sermon or Bible study prep. It gives a great outline for teaching and application. It's not technical or very in depth, but is perfect for teaching. Can't wait for them to add the Old Testament counter part.

Holman Commentary: Old and New Testament (32 vols)
Based on the popular NIV, this verse-by-verse commentary systematically explains biblical text based on trusted, conservative scholarship. The series is designed to enrich new and experienced Bible teachers as they minister to God’s people. Each chapter begins with an introduction and ends with an overview of what was studied, a section on life applications (making the biblical passages relevant to today’s Christian) and deeper discoveries (covering specific topics in greater detail), a teaching outline and discussion questions. Each commentary contains choice quotations, capsule summaries, illustrations for openers and closers, lesson plans, a useful glossary and bibliography at the back of the book, and more. Owning the Holman New Testament Commentary is like having a team of researchers doing the legwork for you! Preachers, teachers, and students will appreciate the unsurpassed clarity and convenience of this commentary series.

Logos 8 is a much needed improvement in performance, speed, and continued search-ability. I've been using Logos for close to 2 decades now and really enjoy this version. Makes my library come alive.

I love the perspectives from this commentary. As an American it is always great to see how Christians around the world view and apply passages of scripture. I was a missionary kid that grew up in Africa and my parents knew some of the editors for this commentary. They bought me the hardcopy and I use it regularly, so it was time to get the digital version to search through it quicker.
