John A. Dixon
- Poorly done. The navigation has no indexing for the calendar so you have to scroll your way through from Advent to the end of the year to find the right day. the other chapters seem to be the same way. The really huge deficit though is that this is not a proper BCP at all without the Psalter and especially the Coverdale Psalter. It seems those that laid this out for use with LOGOS had no idea as to the daily offices in the BCP and their use. This has much room for improvement- buyer beware.
- Hi John, Thanks for your comment. For production reasons, we had to create the Psalter as a separate resource (you can find it here https://www.logos.com/product/45986/book-of-common-prayer-1928). I realize the way we did this was confusing and I apologize for that. As to the Daily Office (assuming I understand you correctly): We are working on a dynamic Daily Office Lectionary that should resolve this issues. It is currently in production but should be available some time this winter. Again, sorry for the confusion. Let me know if this does not resolve your issues. Thanks, Ben
- Thank you for your direction. I am a new user so forgive me if I am overlooking something but while it is nice to have the Psalter as a separate resource I would like to be able to use it with the BCP. Links to Psalms in this version go to your Lexham Bible and not this Psalter. Is it possible to set this up so as to have a functioning BCP?
- There is a way to do that (as well as set which translation you'd like to open for the rest of the scripture references in any book). You need to prioritize the resources (link below). In this case, you'd want to set the 28 Psalter as your first priority and your preferred Bible translation next. That way, any reference to the Psalms will open in the Psalter, other references will open in your preferred translation. https://www.logos.com/training/logos5/library-pt2
