• Oh man. I can buy a hard copy from Amazon at $40. What's the point of buying it here at $54? I can have the searching function and other conveniences but it's a paperless thing! It should be cheaper than hard copies...
    1. What's the point of buying it for $54? Well for one it links to all your sources, even the Perseus collection, which is great for this resource. Second, initially it takes a lot of work to develop this resource and get it integrated into Logos. Third, just because it is paperless doesn't mean it doesn't have a high value. It is so tiring hearing complaints on prices. Everybody wants everything cheap cheap cheap and don't want to pay for value of electronic sources especially when that value is so great by integrating this with the rest of your library
    2. Having spent thousands of dollars on Logos resources, I have to say it gets tiring to have to overpay for every single resource, whether new or old, because of the linking/research features. I have already paid for the Logos engine many times over, and to be continually charged a premium for the same features is annoying and unfair.
    3. one thing we all have to understand here is that Baker has a lot to do with pricing. They are asking premium pricing for current top sellers in their catalog. Bob P. once asked if we were willing to pay the premium price publishers were asking for current products. Just a couple of years ago it was very uncommon for the latest commentary to come out in Logos in less that a couple of years of its being published. I'm glad for the change, but it does cost more.
