I don't know and I don't represent Faithlife, but I can guess. If the number of pre-orders falls below the needed threshold, then the project status can drop out of production. This "may" be the cause. I too hope the project can get back on track.

Probably what happened is that people got fed up with the obnoxiouslylong wait so cancelled their preorders. Which reduced it below the threshold. I've also now cancelled my preorder as i genuinely doubt it will ever see the light of day
