- Before taking this course, I didn’t know what is the difference between the Old and New Perspective on Paul. Professor Stephen Chester is extraordinary in how he is able to articulate clearly on these two perspectives. He has published a book on “Reading Paul with the Reformers: Reconciling Old and New Perspectives.” I highly recommend this course!
- Hi Joshua, so glad to finally see you accepting and subscribing to Logos, and even giving comments in Mobile Ed!
- These two courses are simply amazing! Both Dr Heiser and Dr Zacharias give extensive coverage on using Logos to interpret Hebrew and Greek respectively. They have their different distinctive styles which give added value to understanding how Logos work with different languages. The included book Biblical Greek Made Simple follows a more traditional way of learning Greek which although is quite different from the video course, give additional value to the bundle. Overall, the courses are a joy to follow.
- Dr Sanders gives a very clear course on the various types of dispensationalism, beginning with how it started, some misconceptions, drawing attention to the various developments throughout dispensationalism history in America. He is fair in giving comparisons to other theological tracks, doubtless leaning to his own position on dispensationalism. An excellent course for those who want to learn more on dispensationalism.
- Dr Moore approaches this subject from the Reformed point of view, which is interesting since she presses so much on the role of the Holy Spirit. Her coverage from OT to NT is expansive, and there are surprises and many insights throughout the course. Her clear distinction between Biblical vs Systematic Theology is refreshing. While this course focus on BT, she ended it with a list of related concepts from the ST angle, which adds to the value of this course.
- Never would I'd thought that I will grow to love Leviticus, but Dr Skylar has done an amazing job in unpacking this book! His clear teachings especially in the beginning and final chapters shine through as he unravels the intricacies of this priestly book. He is extremely systematic in his teaching, the exegetical format runs through almost every segment with precision. His love for Leviticus is clear and that helps to make this course stellar.
- Dr. David Instone-Brewer is truly masterful in this course. He is humble, and pastoral towards those who grapple with the topics covered. Regarding the issue on indissolubility of marriage, Dr Instone-Brewer carefully thread on this matter, revealing historical background to illuminate the reasons why Jesus and Paul responded as they did respectively. Furthermore, he reveals laws unmentioned which formed the background for proper understanding of divorce and remarriage. The other topics on intermarriage, polygamy, abortion and child abuse, and homosexuality are well-covered. His other ME course NT390 Jesus as Rabbi: The Jewish Context of the Life of Jesus is also very illuminating for those who are interested in Jewish-related topics.
