• New Sermon Series On Truth

Some believe that You can go to the scriptures and prove anything You want. This is only true if you pull scriptures out of context. If the Bible is actually true, which I believe it is, then it should provide the foundational truth to understand all the major cultural movements we live in and deal with on a daily basis. This twelve week is based on Focus On the Families DVD Series called “The Truth Project.” Pastor Al has the series available for loan to anyone that would like to go deeper into understanding the truth based on the Word of God!.

    1. Oldham County Christmas Boxes

It is time to once again to think about our participation in packing and delivering Christmas Boxes. For many years LGPC has been involved with this important project. This year, due to COVID, there is a greater need for this food to go to families in Oldham County who can use some help.

Again, due to COVID, things will be very different this year. Box packing will be spread across 7 nights and 2 locations, 200 boxes at Crestwood Methodist Church and 50 at Crestwood Christian Church.

      • Dec 10 and 11 6-8 PM
      • Dec 14-18 6-8 PM

December 19 is the delivery date, starting at 8:30 AM.

If you are hoping to come out to help, please RSVP on our calendar to let us know you are going to attend.

Another way you can help is with a cash donation. This money will be used to purchase hams, bread, canned goods, milk, etc. for 250 families. If you can help in this way, make your check payable to LGPC and put Christmas Boxes in the memo field or you can donate online at https://faithlife.com/lagrange-presbyterian-church/give?funds=27833.

We will accept donations until December 13th.

        1. One Great Hour of Sharing

This coming Sunday, July 26th, we are going to be traveling in time, and I hope you will join us for the journey. We will be traveling back to March 29th, which was the first Fifth Sunday of the year.

On that day, we were scheduled to do a special offering for One Great Hour of Sharing, but due to the state of the world at that time, we(I) totally overlooked the opportunity to support this excellent mission.

For over 70 years, One Great Hour of Sharing has provided Presbyterians a way to share God’s love with our neighbors in need around the world. The three programs supported by One Great Hour of Sharing - Presbyterian Disaster Assistance, the Presbyterian Hunger Program, and Self-Development of People - all work in different ways to serve individuals and communities in need. From initial disaster response to ongoing community development, their work fits together to provide people with safety, sustenance, and hope.

Typically received during the season of Lent, each gift to One Great Hour of Sharing supports efforts to relieve hunger through the Presbyterian Hunger Program, promote development through the Presbyterian Committee on the Self-Development of People, and assist in areas of disaster through Presbyterian Disaster Assistance.

In a world of disaster, hunger, and oppression

Millions of people lack access to sustainable food sources, clean water, sanitation, education, and opportunity. You have the option to Give Online or get a check to the church office. We will be collecting money through the end of the month.
