• One of our favorite things Lomax does for our children's classes is the Tree of Knowledge. Since we aren't able to be in our building and the kids aren't able to earn their apples, we decided to make a virtual tree of knowledge that will line up with our Monday Morning Bible classes. How this will work: -After the lesson, we will upload our resources that go along with the lesson. -one of those resources will be a memory verse to work on all week. -Once your child has learned the verse, you may upload a video and tag Lomax Youth Group, privately send us the video, email the video, text us, whatever letting us know your child has memorized the verse. -Once we receive that, we will place an apple on the tree. We know we can't physically be together, but that does not mean our kids cant continue to reach their goals. We hope this will be a fantastic resource that will not only keep our kids growing closer to God but allow our families to grow spiritually as well. if you have any questions about our bible lessons/virtual tree of knowledge, youth group, etc, please do not hesitate to call/text me at 931-306-3109, email me at lomaxyg1918@gmail.com, or call/text Maegan at 931-626-8901 and we will try to answer them! If you have any questions about our tree of knowledge program at Lomax, Emily VanHook can hook you up with details about that.
    1. If you know me, you that one of my favorite things to do is travel. But since we are social distancing ourselves and can't physically travel right now, we can still go on other adventures! That's why I am so excited that our Mt. Juliet friends have created this curriculum and has allowed me to roll these lessons out to our kids during this time. Our theme is He's Got The Whole World In His Hands. We will spend the next few weeks exploring and learning lessons from the Garden of Eden, Land of Canaan, Mount Moriah and others. I will upload a video each Monday of me teaching the lesson and provide tons of resources to keep your kiddos busy applying the lesson throughout the week. We hope this will allow our kiddos to keep some normalcy during this confusing time and keep them growing closer to God.
      1. While we are practicing social distancing and staying safe, we still want to stay connected with our kids. So until we are back together again, here is our new schedule of events: Every Sunday and Wednesday, Robert will be putting out devotionals for our teens. On Mondays, he will be putting out a fun children's lesson for our younger groups. We hope you will be making plans to tune in! You can find these lessons on the Lomax Youth group Facebook page and Instagram page!
        1. We are sad to hear about L2L convention this year. But we want all of our young people to know that we are so proud of the work they are doing and the skills they have been learning through this program. Even though, there will not be a convention this year, we do want you to continue practicing, continue strengthening these skill, and as soon as it is safe to do so we will plan a celebration at Lomax honoring your good efforts.
          1. After today's youth rally messages, some of our girls came up to us and decided that one way they would like to serve is to send letters, cards, colored pictures, and various other items to missionaries to help encourage them while they are so far away. They have chosen to send the items to the Pierce's in Fiji. They have asked Maegan and I if we would send it to them if they gathered it up so we will be collecting that stuff in the teen room for the next week or two. They will be appreciative of anything but if you need ideas either let me or Maegan know and we can give you some. Thanks so much! Ya'll are awesome.
