Sunday Sermon 23rd October 2022 - Saving Faith Includes Sincere Words and Actions (pt. 1)

James changes the topic on us by introducing the statement “faith by itself is dead”. James uses the article before the word save in verse 14 (that or the) depending on your translation (ESV, RSV, NKJV, etc). Recognizing the importance of this article shows us that James does not say faith alone will not save, as we know, we are saved by faith according to scripture. So James question then becomes, is faith without actions or deeds dead? What we are encouraged to do is help those in need whenever possible. We are not to be insincere when professing to want to help someone. Empty words when coupled with empty actions is the recipe for dead faith. James says if you proclaim to be a Christian and want to help others then action is required. This shows that your relationship with Christ is strong. This shows that you are continuing to grow in Christ by providing actions to the words that you speak. These actions coupled with the words you speak will indicate to others that you have true faith in God. This is the true faith that will save you.
    1. Please pray.

I would like to pray for all of those who are being impacted by the current hurricane in Florida. From each home owner, first responder, business owner, FEMA, the Governor and his staff and all others involved to bring normalcy back into these communities. Father in Heaven, we know that you are in control of all things. Jesus we ask that you breathe life into each person who is impacted by this terrible circumstance. Lord protect the people, provide for the people and direct their path. Send Your Holy Spirit to comfort those who are anxious and those who are worried, for those who have no hope. Pour into them Your love , Your grace and Your mercy showing that You are the one who we turn to in times of need. Jesus, You are on the throne and in Your presence we fall to our knees respectufully seeking Your Face and humbly asking that You intercede on our behalf praying to Your Father. Hear our cry oh Lord, Read our petition and through our faith we know that You will answer our prayers in Your will, let it be done. In Jesus Mighty Name Amen!, Amen!

Sunday Sermon - 21 August 2022 Trials from God, Temptation from Satan (pt.2)

As we get into verses 13-15 we see a shift from trials to temptation. James is very clear of who tempts us, and it is not God. Temptation comes from two places: 1: Satan’ 2. Our own desires. James provides what I call the road map to spiritual death. He tells us in verse 15 that - Temptation conceived + sin fully grown = spiritual death. But prior to this James we tell us that the responsibility for succumbing to sin is ours and ours alone. At times our own desires will drive us to temptation. Satan knows what we know, that our hearts are deceitful and we will never be free from temptation. As we grow in our Christian life the response to that temptation should decrease and the love we have for Jesus Christ should increase. We need to submit to God and resist the devil at all times by calling on the name of Jesus (James 4:7)
        1. MEMORY VERSE(s) OF THE WEEK (7/19/2022) - James 1:12 There is so much going on in life that we barely have time to think clearly. Temptation is all around us and at times it is hard not to give yourself over to temptation. We are all tempted on what it seems like a daily basis. Even Jesus was tempted by Satan during His forty days in the desert without food. But He endured through the temptation and He rebuked Satan with the word of God. We also can rebuke Satan with the word of God. In those times when we are tempted, we need remember who we serve and why we serve Jesus. It is through the strength of Jesus and God's word that will deliver us from temptation. As long as we keep Jesus centered and in our field of view we will endure and are approved by God and His Son. James 1:12 12 Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love him. Our objective in this Christian life is to find our eternal resting place with Jesus. Every opportunity Satan has, he will try to get you off track and want you to suffer through, and give in to our temptations. If we rely on God to carry us through these trials in life, ife becomes more bearable and enjoyable. That is not to say trial and temptation will not happen, it does mean that when it does, we have a Lord and Savior that can get us through those trials and strengthen us spiritually to get through those temptations. Have a blessed day Amen, Amen

            Prophecy Updates

Are you prepared for Jesus Christ return?

When I was praying about this particular topic, the Parable Jesus gives in Matthew 25:1-13 comes to mind. Jesus talks about the ten virgins missing the opportunity to be with Him because of their unpreparedness. We should always be ready with our oil and our lamps burning. We do not want to miss the opportunity as we must "Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour in which the Son of Man is coming."

If Jesus came today would you be ready? Or are you someone who thinks Jesus is coming and you can stop living the life He has for you, thinking what's the point? If you answer no to the first question and then yes to the second question, then I believe you need to make sure you are well prepared by getting in your word, seeking the Lord for guidance and asking the Holy Spirit to give you discernment to see the truth through the word of God.

Today more than ever we see so many events taking place in the world that indicated time is short and Jesus is on His way. Unlike times in the past, the birthing pangs Paul talks about are upon us as in 1 Thessalonians 5:3. No other time do we see everything happening to us not just in individual nations but globally. Here are some of things that we are seeing:

            1. One world currency - Digital money - See link below
            2. Ten Nations beginning to be formed - The Environmental Socialist Governance (ESG) - See link below
            3. Earthquakes and famine (Globally) - See link below
            4. Governments turning on their people (Australia, US, Europe, etc.)
            5. Churches being locked down (US, Europe, Eastern Europe, etc.)
            6. Global Abortion activism
            7. US government pressuring other nations to implement more access to abortion in their countries
            8. Individual states trying to pass legislation that will allow abortions 28 days after the birth of a child
            9. Lawlessness in this country and around the globe
            10. Lying and deceit from the government no longer being hidden - agenda's being openly exposed and without shame
            11. Wars and rumors of wars
            12. Chips being implanted in humans to track them and paying for services
            13. The church falling away from the full depth of the word of God
            14. Man trying to play God - DNA manipulation creating babies by design. Selecting the hair color, the eye color etc.
            15. Man's desire and teaching to worship the created versus the Creator
            16. Men with men, women with women relationships
            17. Men want to be women, Women want to be men

Matthew 24:4-8 describes what we will be seeing in the days of darkness and in verse 8 Jesus says, All these are the beginnings of sorrows. Matthew 13:8 and 2 Thessalonians 2:1-12 also give us a good indication of what to expect.

World Economic Forum a Globalist Strategy – Climate Change

This is the position of many in the world globalist today. As I mentioned in a earlier post, that the globalist are doing whatever they can to control the world's usage of energy, food, water and other God given resources. These people have taken it upon themselves to play God and try to be gods in their own minds. They are using these tactics to develop the ten nations as described in Daniel 7:7, 24 and Revelation 17:7-14. The forming of the nations will occur before the tribulation when Jesus calls His church home. The power that is given to the ten nations comes from economic power. Once they have economic power, then they have total control. This is where the carbon foot print and the ESG comes into play. The founders or world globalists want to gain control through the auspices of global warming! They are using global warming to control how you live, what you will eat and how much water you will drink per day. This plan has been in place for many decades and is now being executed on an accelerated basis. So prepare your self for world famine, fuel shortages and water restrictions across the globe. Here is an excerpt from the world forum - Ending fossil fuel use and removing carbon dioxide are some of the actions needed to urgently address climate change, the United Nations says. see link (globalist strategy) below for more information. Eliminating carbon foot prints have life changing effects on the way we live. The impacts will be greater than one expects or anticipates. Remember Satan is driving right now because God is letting him. Here are some of the ways we in this country are currently being impacted by the globalist (Satan) plan:

Power and water shortages across the nation

Below in subsequent articles you will see several examples related to just some of the things we are experiencing today across the globe. God's plan is in place and is being executed precisely just as was prophesied in the bible. We see things that we would have never imagined we would see. Here is a list of the articles as you scroll down you can get more information on:

            1. Food Shortages
            2. Fuel Shortages
            3. Energy Shortages
            4. Globalist positions

            The Good News

The good news is this, that God is in control and He will protect us through these events until He is ready to call us home. Our salvation is based on our faith and the grace that God has given us through His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. If we stay obedient and faithful in His word and in prayer, God will provide comfort and our needs through these tumultuous times.

2 Chronicles 7:14–15 14 if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land. 15 Now My eyes will be open and My ears attentive to prayer made in this place.

            Get Ready For Christ

There is an easy way to see and live in the truth and that is through a relationship with Christ. If you have not received the Lord Jesus as your Savior or you are still wanting to live a life attached in the world, then I would highly recommend you ask the Lord into your heart, you seek forgiveness of your sins, you forgive others who sin against you, you repent of your sins and if you truly want to separate yourself from the world, ask Jesus through the Holy Spirit to give you the strength to do so. Believe in the Lord, believe in the word of God and the truth shall set you free for eternity.

            What to Expect

In future blogs we will be following and outlining in detail the events that are listed above to describe where we are at in context to getting closer to end times with Christ coming to get His church.

We must seek and see the truth in the word of God and have peace knowing that He promises us eternal life with Him when we receive Him, believe in Him and follow Him the rest of our days.

1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 says the Lord will return and He will come for the church, His bride. Amen

Sunday Sermon 1st May 2022- We Died, are Hidden, and will Appear with Christ in Glory

Paul gives us application to his message about the Messiah. If we died with Christ, are resurrected with Christ, are hidden in Christ and will appear with Him in Glory, then what or why is our focus on or in the world? Paul has taken us through the Christological identity of who Christ is and how we are united with Christ. Paul states clearly that Christ sits at the right hand of God, because we have died with Him, He will hide us or more pointedly, protect us. We need no longer listen to the false teachers and their doctrine, Christology is what we follow period. When Christ returns we will appear with Him in Glory in front of the world and the All Mighty God.

The Church Falling Away from the Full Depth and Breadth of the Word

Lets discuss the church falling away from biblical principles. The bible is very clear that in end times there will be a great falling away from the church and even the elect will fall. In 2 Thessalonians Chapter 2 Paul addresses the lawlessness of the world and the falling away, there will be wicked delusions and deceptions for those who oppose God. In Matthew 24 Jesus tells the disciples to not let anyone deceive you in the name of Jesus. Jesus says you will hear of wars and rumors of wars, nations will come against nation and there will be famines across the globe. We see things are coming at us all at once. We even hear in some of the largest churches in the nation, pastors presenting compromising sermons to the congregation. Preaching to itchy ears. We see pastors teaching critical race theory (CRT). We see the church is becoming "woke" and more concerned with the political lens for which they are viewed than the lens that Jesus will judge them. For example, many people now days are talking "gender identity", and they are saying that it is how you think of yourself as the basis for identifying who you are. On the surface this seems quiet innocuous, but as you listen and dig deeper, what is really being said, if you are born a man and feel like being a woman that is fine, be a woman.

This in the nutshell is defined as morale relativism! The bible teaches us that morals are from God and when God provides through His word instructions on we should morally behave, we need to not only live in that morale world by being examples, but we need to preach morality to all who have ears. In 1 Corinthians 6:20 Paul tells us we were bought at a price and we should glorify God in our body and our spirit. Morales are not based on feelings nor are they gender expressions to be exercised at your convenience, mood or culture. This drives to the compromising church. Please click on the link below to see five examples of a compromising church.

If we continue down this path of morale discourse, my fear is that the judgment of God will continue to fall upon this nation:

2 Chronicles 24:20 20 Then the Spirit of God came upon Zechariah the son of Jehoiada the priest, who stood above the people, and said to them, “Thus says God: ‘Why do you transgress the commandments of the Lord, so that you cannot prosper? Because you have forsaken the Lord, He also has forsaken you.’ ”

Sunday Sermon

Paul continues on his argument that is it through Christ, you are saved and that there is no other ritual required for you to undergo other than receiving and believing in Christ. Circumcision is a command given by God to Abraham (Genesis 17:9-14) – This was to mark the Israelite boys and men as God’s chosen people. It was done one week after the birth of the child, but today is done almost immediately after child birth (24-72 hours). Paul picks up from verses 9 and 10, discussing the dangers of relying on empty philosophies. He uses the tradition of circumcision and baptism to convey his points to the church
                  1. Luke 1:37 - For nothing will be impossible for God. This is a good reminder to us all that when we are in the middle of a battle, that God is with us and "Nothing" is impossible in Him, for Him and through Him. If we stay focused on God with Him centered in our lives, the problems and trials we encounter will seem minuscule with the right perspective. Our hope and strength come from God - Psalm 121:2 2 My Help comes from the Lord, Who made heaven and earth. And when God pours His peace upon you, rejoice and give thanks to the mighty creator of the heavens and the earth. Rejoice because when we are weak, then He is strong. 2 Corinthians 12:9 9 And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Have a wonderfully blessed day, stay focused on what God is doing in your life and resist the devil and he will flee James 4:7 7 Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.
