MEMORY VERSE(s) OF THE WEEK (7/19/2022) - James 1:12
There is so much going on in life that we barely have time to think clearly. Temptation is all around us and at times it is hard not to give yourself over to temptation. We are all tempted on what it seems like a daily basis. Even Jesus was tempted by Satan during His forty days in the desert without food. But He endured through the temptation and He rebuked Satan with the word of God.
We also can rebuke Satan with the word of God. In those times when we are tempted, we need remember who we serve and why we serve Jesus. It is through the strength of Jesus and God's word that will deliver us from temptation. As long as we keep Jesus centered and in our field of view we will endure and are approved by God and His Son.
James 1:12 12 Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love him.
Our objective in this Christian life is to find our eternal resting place with Jesus. Every opportunity Satan has, he will try to get you off track and want you to suffer through, and give in to our temptations. If we rely on God to carry us through these trials in life, ife becomes more bearable and enjoyable. That is not to say trial and temptation will not happen, it does mean that when it does, we have a Lord and Savior that can get us through those trials and strengthen us spiritually to get through those temptations.
Have a blessed day Amen, Amen
