- As others are mentioning, these are a great resource, but links are sketchy to a number of owned resources -BAGD is particularly frustrating as it's so useful a resource. I think in this instance it is because LOGOS and SIL are dealing with different namings for the resource. SIL shows BAGD for all its citations, LOGOS knows it as BDAG (the current 3rd edition, anyway), and the error message that comes up when I click on a BAGD link within an Exegetical Summary shows as "You don't have a license to view this resource; Resource ld: LLS:BGD". I have sent feedback to LOGOS about this on several occasions but it has not yet been addressed. Big PIA (hopefully, no one will stumble over *that* abbreviation!)!
- Another in agreement that the value (imo) to price ratio is extremely disappointing. I have considered Logos bloated for some time now, but up through version 6 still found enough value in the features to justify upgrading. With version 7 the packages (platinum, gold, etc.) don't even bear much of a resemblance to their former selves. Frustrating to me that I am a Platinum owner (with beaucoup beaucoup of add-on purchases over the years) and yet even a humble silver Logos 7 package would cost me significant money, and I do *not* want to go from a Platinum to a Silver or Gold package. But the new Platinum is just, again imo, ridiculously priced even with dynamic pricing and doesn't contain that many resources at all I am interested in. I recognize my reasoning is just about 100% subjective, but still: the considerations I mention matter to me. Disappointed with the direction FL continues to move in.
- In college, Underhill's "Practical Mysticism" formed a part of the content for a meditation/spirituality group I participated in. Highly recommended. I'm looking forward to reading through her full length "Mysticism," which I found a bit daunting way back then. Her book "Worship" still sits in hardback on my bookshelf and I occasionally quote in sermons or classes I teach. I haven't read it cover to cover since college (and am looking forward to doing so in Logos format), but there are two or three really key insights I picked up from it that all these years later still resonate profoundly with me. I will try and update my review once the actual product is released, but am posting this so that hopefully more people can get in on the pre-pub price. Just the three I've mentioned alone would be worth the price to me.
