• This book was very much worth the investment. Having some knowledge of New Testament textual criticism, this book greatly expanded my understanding of the very different situation that the OT lives in. Moreover, the implication that the Bible is inspired is very refreshing, and sets this book apart from other Old Testament works I've encountered. My only criticism is that it could have gone into more detail concerning the Aleppo Codex vs. Leningrad Codex. KJV onlyism is usually thought to be an issue in NT textual criticism, but the KJV onlyists rejection of the third edition of Biblia Hebraica makes it clear that OT textual criticism should address the issue. It is brought up, mind you, but not in enough detail in my opinion. Still, this is a great work, and easily worth it for every student of the Hebrew Bible to add to their collection.
