Michael Henderson
- Fringe movement my foot. This author is obviously out of touch with reality. He obviously travels in small circles. The replies as of today are spot on. I will not purchase this book because I've read the drivel before. I am looking for a coming King who we will be co-heirs with in His coming Millennial kingdom!
- Got a note my review was flagged. Sorry if it is offensive to some, I am just stating dispensationalism is not a fringe movement. I aso agree withthe other posts, especially Franseen's and Pierce's under Franseen's. Spot on!
- Brother, we’ll be (and are) co-heirs with Him in His Kingdom, but the Kingdom will be (and is) eternal.
- I have read Yarhouse's articles online and in CT and totally disagree with his sway away from Biblical truth and agreement with experiential psychology. It is noticeably clear in his articles online and in CT that he believes there is nothing immoral about transgenderism and other immoral sins of the flesh. Google and you will see what I mean. I will not recommend this book over Biblical truth.
- Thank you for the heads-up.
- Thanks for your sharing your position on this Micheal. I am a Christian mental health clinician seeking further understanding on this hot button issue for the church today and think Marks awareness of both the theological interpretative and experience spaces will potentially help us the church come to a pastorally wise and healthy posture over the culture wars.
- Was not impressed. I have read and did not find it uplifting, but rather disheartening. He is correct on many things, but really skips over a lot of the books content relegating it to subjective symbolism with not a lot of non-literal meaning. Same stuff I have read for decades from liberal scholars. I do agree with the Christological content and Christ being the King and all things pointing to Him as the one we all will be accountable to.
- I did find this review. It seems to cover differences between Luke and Acts entries in both editions. But it is not exhaustive. http://www.biblestudywithrandy.com/2015/01/new-testament-bible-background-commentary/
