- The author is very flippant toward God and assumes to know his motives. If you can look past that, there is some really good info in here. The Divine Council is a given (think the Unseen Realm by Michael Heiser) which doesn't surprise me considering the beings she is detailing are from the unseen realm. I was happy to see this. I wholeheartedly agree with her premise that the Christian church has sanitized these beings over time. When dealing with demons, she shows how the translators translated their name when their name should have been left untranslated to show that these were specific beings. She proves her point by bringing in other writings from outside Christianity that talk about these very same beings by name. Fascinating stuff. I did ding her a star (4 stars instead of 5) because of the way she treats God in the book. Her writing style is very engaging (except where she is dissing God). I listened to the audio book for free through my library but I am getting the Logos Edition so that I can do my own research and following up on the things she has put forth in the book.
- These diagrams are great when you are stuck trying to figure out which word/clause goes with what. I wish these were interactive but that is no fault of Dr. Leedy. Dr. Leedy also operates a very active Facebook group where you can discuss diagramming not to mention his YouTube videos explaining diagramming step by step. With these additional resources you will get a lot more out of the diagrams in Logos.
