August and September's Children's Bible Memory Verse to learn is Philippians 1:6. ...being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus. We will strive this year to put as much scripture into the hearts of our children at Oak Grove as possible. We pray you will come along side us and work with your children at home to learn the scriptures. *Scriptures are based on our Wednesday Night program using the Gospel Project.

            1. We want you to join us each Sunday morning for Grow Groups and Worship!! Here is what you can expect! 9:15-10:15am Grow Groups Dedicated teachers in our children’s classes age 2 through 6th grade use a combination of Lifeway’s Bible Studies for Life curriculum and Children Desiring God curriculum to interactively teach God’s truths, promises and purpose for our lives. Infants are lovingly cared for by our paid nursery worker and volunteers. You may leave written instructions for their care with their teacher. Check in and Pick Up Procedures for Grow Groups: Infants through 6th graders must check in on the iPad in the foyer of the Children’s Building. A security label will be printed for birth through 4 years of age.   Parents should pick up children 2 through 6th grade after their Grow Group class. Children 2 and under will remain in the nursery with our Extended Session nursery volunteer through the end of morning worship. 10:30 – 11:50 am Worship is time for the whole family to gather in the sanctuary for intergenerational worship. Transition to extended session: Children 3 years and under will be dismissed from the sanctuary together after three songs of Worship have been played. Two and three year olds will be taken by their parents to room 207 of the Children’s Building.  There they will have a bonus lesson that pertained to their Grow Group study from that morning and play time. Extended Session is lead by volunteer parents and members of the church.

              1. After His resurrection, Jesus appeared to more than 500 people. He proved that He had beaten sin and death. After Jesus was on earth for 40 days after His resurrection, He ascended into heaven. Before He went, He promised that He would not leave us alone, but He would send the Holy Spirit to dwell inside every follower of Jesus. The Holy Spirit helps us do God’s work on earth while we wait for Jesus to come back and make all things new! How do you see the Holy Spirit’s work in your life?
