- Have you thought about approaching the sales department with your grievance. They might give you a rebate, reduce the price or try to make a good somehow.
- Paul, I really have not because I have the TJL up to date, with the exception of this new 2.1 Logos is releasing. Honestly, as I have stated, there really is nothing in 2.1 that I would want. None of it is useful for "scholarly" work. In other words, I can't use these as sources because 1929 isn't exactly recent scholarship. And for my school, they recommend 60 years or less, preferably after the finding of the Qumran scrolls that shed light on a number of biblical issues that others prior were not privy to. If they had anything scholarly to offer in this I probably would have called them. But it is the lack of scholarly work, and the price that led me to write my post; to make others aware (esp. those who already have the TJL) so they do not get taken advantage of. This set isn't worth a hundred dollars, much less six hundred.
- This material is priceless for witnessing to JW's. If you have ever disputed with a JW then you would know that they train and practice to dispute their interpretations of scripture, but if you can show them their own texts from the founder himself that clearly show error then they have no defense. They have changed and edited their belief over the years to eliminate the blatant errors that prove their system to be false and part of that editing was to destroy their early writings which contain many of these heresies. So they are invaluable to Christians engaged in apologetics. I am sure that JW's are not happy that Logos is making this material available.
- Having been a Witness for 30 years and a very active user of Logos for at least half of that time I too could have had a lot to say about "false doctrine". Just a little reminder that not all users of Logos share your specific beliefs.
- I am stunned these Biblical lies and untruths are being offered in here. There are so many good theologically wonderful magazines that should be - not this collection of tripe.
