- This is an excellent resource. The Dictionary of Bible Themes is identical to the Thematic Section of my NIV Thematic Study Bible, published in 1996. I have found that researching themes has greatly focussed my material in Bible classes and also provided insights into the context and background of passages. Whilst I do not agree with every doctrinal presupposition of the editors' (in rare instances, admittedly) I heartily recommend the Dictionary of Bible Themes.
- While looking to reacquire the Zondervan Dictionary of Bible Themes from the re-seller marketplace, it dawned on me that in might be included in Logos 6/7 Gold package. Upon discovery that it's included in my Logos resources, I'm happy I won't have to spend money for it. Still, I'd sure like to have a physical copy of The NIV Thematic Reference Bible. I wrote to Harper Collins from bended knee, imploring them to re-issue printed copes of both titles. (I don't really care if the Thematic Bible is paired with the NIV 2011 text. I just want to use it again. I simply refuse to be held hostage by the exorbitant pricing at Amazon for a used copy in Used-Very Good condition.) Let's see if they take up my offer to wash their cars for a year if they satisfy my requests.
