Discussion: Topic Week 2
In order to receive what God freely came to give, we must first admit we are sinners. The Bible states that my perish for the lack of knowledge. My people are being destroyed because they don’t know me. [Hosea 4:6].
In order to receive salvation we must first be aware that we’ve sinned against God. How can pride prevent us from missing what God freely came to give?
- I believe that someone who is prideful would not be able to admit they’ve sinned against God. They may provide excuses for wrong behaviors and attitudes, which could prevent them from accepting and receiving the gospel. If they are unable to admit their need for a savior, they will probably miss out on God’s best for their lives.
