- What/which scripture says/quotes the word Trinity?
Ibara — Edited
The word "Trinity" is not found in the Bible. But is used to describe the single nature of God having three persons. That God is one and having three persons is a mystery to man; a mystery that other religions do not have; a mystery that Satan and his demons can not duplicate -- the reason why christian missionaries are successful in spiritual warfare in mission fields where people of other religions seek the help of christian missionaries when their respective native spiritual leaders fail to help them. When Jesus was tempted, He used scripture to defeat Satan; scripture(Deuteronomy) that God the Father spoke; scripture that is "given by inspiration of God"(2 Timothy 3:16)--"inspiration of God" being the Holy Spirit. In Jesus' temptation, the three persons of God was present although not as explicitly as in Jesus' baptism.- BTW - This week we are recording a course on the doctrinal development of Trinity with Dr. Fred Sanders. Look for it next year.
