Knowing God is how we find rest and peace when we are tired and heavy-laden. When we know Him, and He is revealed to us, that is when the burden which we had taken up for God will be light, because it is with His strength that we take the burden.

We have received the unmerited favor from Elohim through his son Jesus. That grace enables us to walk upright, so the burden of the law would not be upon us. The law is a tutor to teach us how to walk. Also, the Scribes, the Pharisees and Sadducees added more burden by laying upon the shoulders of the people, obliging them to a strict observance of law though of a different nature from the commandments. This was hard and heavy to be borne, and not easy and light. The easy and light experience is not for the unregenerate men, or are easily performed by the strength of nature and power of men's free will, but they are good and amiable, and lovely in their own nature. They are cheerful to comply with, and, abundance of spiritual pleasure and delight is enjoyed in them by believers, when they have the presence of God, the assistance of his Spirit, and the discoveries of his love. Moreover, the commands of Christ, and the ordinances of the Gospel, are easier for Believers in comparison to the law of Moses; which required perfect obedience. The law gave no strength to perform, and threatened with condemnation and death, in case of the least failure; and of the numerous, and some very severe rites and usages of the ceremonial law. The Scribes Pharisees and Saducees even made the laws bulky and heavy through their traditions. But if we accept grace from God through Jesus our Savior, we won’t have to carry the heavy burden of sin that the law is pointing out to us, or what the members of the Sanhedrin had instituted. This favor will keep us yoked to Jesus who is our burden bearer. He has already nailed our sins to the tree he was nailed on. Having a relationship with him is essential, for all power has been given to him. He is the only one that can set us free from the burden of sin. On that tree before he died, Jesus our sinless, selfless Savior said, “it is finished”. So take it all to him. He made the preparation for us, so the yoke of sin that Satan and legalistic men try to burden us with, would no longer have us bowed down with shame and indifferences.
